SOKAP CAMPAIGN
There are a plethora of options available to musicians in order to raise funds for recording and touring - Kickstarter, Indie A Go Go, etc. Maya Solovey has chosen to start a campaign through Sokap, in order to aid the recording, production, and promotion of her upcoming EP. Sokap projects allow you to purchase an item while it is being created and then receive the finished product. There are other incentives offered through the site, such as buying town licenses, which allow you to buy into the licensing of Maya’s upcoming album and earn money from any which are purchased in your location. This is a unique campaign, and Maya hopes that all of the fans will see her new six song EP, Forte, through from beginning to end.
“I’m super excited to launch this project with Sokap, because I love the way it allows me to interact with my audience, and how it can mutually benefit anyone who chooses to engage with me”, says Maya. “I find it a joy and an honor to do what I do, connecting to audiences all around the world through music. This is a whole new way to raise funds for a record, and puts some really cool incentive for us to work together to get it out there.” Maya’s looking for a total raise of $5000 to cover the costs of recording, producing, and promoting the EP. “Thank you so much for visiting my page, and I look forward to building this project together!”
